Ulverston – Decarbonisation Project (Mechanical Works)

Saints Contracting Limited was appointed to deliver the full mechanical decarbonisation works at the Cumbria LEP Building in Redhills. The project formed part of the Council’s sustainability and energy-efficiency upgrade programme, focusing on replacing traditional fossil-fuel systems with low-carbon alternatives.
Mechanical Scope:

Decommissioning and strip-out of the existing heating and plant systems

Installation of new Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHPs) and associated plant

Integration into the site’s smart building management system (BMS)

Flushing, cleaning, and recommissioning of existing underfloor heating (UFH) systems

Installation of new domestic hot and cold-water services

Full insulation to pipework and plant in accordance with BS 5422

Light civil works and reinstatement to external plant areas

Final commissioning, testing, and system validation
